Welcome to our new look website. A huge thank you goes out to Janice from pulseight graphic design, without whom it wouldn’t have been possible – cheers Janice !
As for our adventures……
We’ve sailed the English Channel – albeit on a car carrying fast ferry, and have just returned from a very enjoyable weekend at the 2010 Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival, down in deepest Cornwall. Not only did we get to meet all manner of musos connected with sea faring songs – but we also got to perform a few times – even on the very same stage as THE Port Isaac Fishermen’s Friends !!
We’re still paddling the inflatable dinghy around in circles getting from gig to gig – and we’ve just returned from the 2010 Sark Folk Festival. Simon and his team put together a fantastic festival – well done all – here’s to the next one.
Some exciting news about the proceeds of our Charity Concert at St James – we have handed over a cheque to the RNLI for a superb £3800 – many thanks to all that helped and contributed to a great evening – including Johnny’s Angels and The Barley Dogs – as well as the Ladies Lifeboat Guild and Ed Fattorini and his team on the bar.
We took to the main stage for the first of this year’s Castle Nights at Castle Cornet – alongside our friends Shaun & Co aka The Wesley Stone – a great start to a run of free Friday night gigs at the Castle.
We’ve got some new material which we hope to perform for you in 2011, and we’re currently working hard rehearsing that !
We’ve also got a couple of months to get ourselves ‘shipshape’ in time to compete in the 2011 Guernsey Eisteddfod – so do come along and support us – no heckling though !!!!!
We also pipe aboard our newest member of the crew – Josh Gabriel – who, sadly for him, is already starting to understand the Captain’s humour !!!!!!
Best leave it there for now – we’re off in search of mermaids……
The GU10 Boys.
